Many Lenormand decks rely on busy illustrations where multiple symbol layers sit on top of each other. This deck chooses the opposite. The Simplicity Lenormand by Emilie Muñiz shows one symbol per card, drawn in a modern style, without distraction.
The format is small: 64 x 90 mm. That is deliberate. A Grand Tableau consists of 36 cards, and with this format the spread fits on a normal table. The cards have gold glitter edges and feel sturdy.
Each of the 36 traditional Lenormand cards carries a printed keyword. Anchor, Key, Dog. That saves you looking things up. You see the symbol, you read the word, you move on.
The deck contains five extra cards: a second Man and a second Woman, and three oracle cards with the answers Yes, No and Maybe. You use those last three when you have a direct question that calls for a clear-cut answer. You can set them aside or shuffle them into the deck, depending on how you work.
Each card shows a playing card inset in the top right corner. This makes the deck usable for readers who combine cartomancy and Lenormand.
This deck is made for beginners. The keywords on the cards act as memory aids. You do not need to learn a list of meanings before you start. The 132-page guidebook explains combinations using examples, so you learn how to connect cards into sentences.

No. You can set them aside and use only the traditional Lenormand system. The three cards are an extra option for those who want direct answers, but they are not a required part of the system.
