This oracle is built around the idea of grandmother energy: emotional maturity, empathy and fierce nurturing wisdom that has nothing to do with age or gender. Kara Simons of Joyful Resonance designed 66 cards divided into six colour-coded categories, from Self-Love and Harmony to Destruction. Illustrator Mari in the Sky provided botanical, elemental and animal imagery throughout.

Grandmother energy is not an age category. That is the starting point of this oracle: anyone can be a channel for emotional maturity, empathy and a firm, nurturing wisdom. Kara Simons of Joyful Resonance built an entire system around that idea, with 66 cards divided across six colour-coded categories.
The illustrations are by Mari in the Sky and move between the botanical, the elemental and the animal. In both atmosphere and structure, this oracle stands apart from most oracle cards currently available.
Each of the 66 cards belongs to one of six categories: Self-Love, Harmony, Growth, Possibility, Service and Destruction. That last one is not a threatening category; it points to breakdown and release as part of a natural cycle. The colour-coding makes it immediately clear which domain a card belongs to, even without opening the guidebook.
Alongside the 66 grandmother cards, the box includes 6 blank cards to personalise, a category overview card and a double-sided spread card as a bonus.
The guidebook runs to 174 pages and is printed in full colour. Kara Simons shares her own backstory, explains how the system works, describes each card's message and provides suggested spreads. This is a guidebook that genuinely takes the time to explain what it has built.
The colour-coding works as a first filter before you read anything: draw a card, look at its colour, and you already know which direction the message is heading.
Kara Simons is the founder of Joyful Resonance and the creator of this oracle. She wrote the card messages and the guidebook, including a personal account of her own background with the project.

What does the 'Destruction' category mean?
Destruction here does not mean something negative. It refers to breakdown and release as part of a natural cycle. It is one of the six structuring categories of the deck, alongside Self-Love, Harmony, Growth, Possibility and Service.
What language are the cards and guidebook in?
Both the cards and the guidebook are entirely in English. No other language edition is available.
