Steampunk Lenormand - Victorian aesthetics with classic Lenormand structure
Not every Lenormand deck looks like it arrived from another era. This one does. Barbara Moore and illustrator Diana Cammarano place the 36 classic symbols in a world of brass, steam and mechanical precision.
The cards follow the traditional Lenormand system completely. Rider, Ship, House, Snake, everything is there. What changes is the styling: Victorian clothing, cogwheels, airships and industrial decoration define the imagery.
What you see on the cards
The format is 100 x 140 mm, larger than many other Lenormand decks. That gives room for detail: you see steam engines, clockwork, constructions of bronze and iron. The colours are warm, with lots of sepia, gold and copper brown.
Each symbol gets a steampunk interpretation. The Fox wears a device on its back. The Sun is a mechanical wheel. The Ring consists of cogwheels. The symbolism stays recognizable, but the theme gives the deck its own atmosphere.
The guidebook describes the cards and gives spreads. Moore explains how you can read the mechanical elements as indicators for timing or dynamics in a reading.
How this deck relates to classic Lenormand
The structure is unchanged. Anyone already working with Lenormand will recognize all symbols immediately. The combination techniques you are used to apply without adjustment.
What the deck adds is a visual layer. The Victorian setting and the mechanical objects give each card more to look at. That can help with intuitive readings, but it can also distract if you prefer a strict, sober representation.
In a reading, also look at the direction of the mechanical elements. Moore suggests they sometimes say something about the speed or flow of events.

Questions we often get
Does this deck deviate from the classic Lenormand system?
No. All 36 symbols are present and the meanings follow the traditional line. Only the styling is different.
Is the larger format pleasant to work with?
That depends on your preference. The format shows the details well, but also requires more table space for larger spreads like the Grand Tableau.
