Stories – A Collaborative Oracle Deck - fifty constellations, fifty writers
Not one voice, but fifty. Stories – A Collaborative Oracle Deck is built on a simple but powerful idea: let classic star constellations be retold by different writers from the spiritual community. The result is a collection of poetry, short stories, essays and spells that all start from the same cosmic patterns, but each find their own tone.
The deck was assembled by Sara Calvarese, astrologer and founder of The 8th House in New Jersey. She invited fifty creators to each claim a constellation and write their own story for it. What stands out is that those stories are not neatly poured into the same mould. Some are introspective, others activist, still others lyrical or deliberately concise.
What you see on the cards
Each card shows a star constellation in a clean, graphic style. The images are recognizable as astronomical patterns, without excess. Below each image sits a question, not as a keyword but as a direct prompt. That question sends you to the guidebook, where the corresponding story lives.
The cards are printed on 350 gsm paper with a soft, matte laminate. The edges are matte gold, which you feel when you shuffle. The format is 70 x 121 mm, slightly smaller than standard tarot cards.
How you work with it
The 120-page guidebook is not a list of fixed meanings. It is a collection of texts that each stand alone. You draw a card, read the question, turn to the corresponding page and get a story that approaches that question from a specific perspective.
Some users pick one card per week and let the story work through that time. Others use the questions as writing prompts in a journal. The deck lends itself to both rhythms.
Draw a card and write an answer to the question for ten minutes without thinking. The question works as a lever to shake loose thoughts that otherwise stay buried.

Questions we often get
Does this deck work if you know nothing about astrology?
Yes. The constellations are the starting point, but the stories stand on their own. You do not need to read a star chart to use the cards.
Are there fixed meanings with the cards?
No. Each card has a question and a story. How you interpret that story depends on what you bring to the reading.
