About this Deck

Tarot for Kids is more than just a card game; it is a friendly companion for the modern child. Created by renowned expert Theresa Reed and brought to life by the inclusive art of Kailey Whitman, this deck radiates a welcoming and safe "vibe." The visual style is modern, diverse, and deeply relatable, ensuring that every child can find themselves reflected in the cards. It offers a gentle introduction to mindfulness, helping kids navigate their daily lives with confidence and curiosity.

Symbolism and Themes

Based on the foundational Rider-Waite-Smith system, this deck adapts traditional symbolism into a language that resonates with younger audiences. Complex or intimidating themes have been thoughtfully reimagined to remain age-appropriate while retaining their deeper meaning. For example, traditional cards like "Death" are renamed "Change," and "The Lovers" becomes "Friends." These shifts focus on the positive aspects of life’s transitions, social connections, and the development of inner resilience. The illustrations feature children of all backgrounds in everyday settings, making the magic of the tarot feel grounded and attainable.
