Tarot Mucha - 78-card Art Nouveau deck inspired by Mucha
Alphonse Mucha painted women surrounded by flowers, sinuous lines and soft golden tones. That visual language sits naturally alongside tarot: both work with archetypes, with figures that stand for something larger than themselves. The Tarot Mucha builds on that connection deliberately.
The illustrations are by Giulia F. Massaglia, with colours by Barbara Nosenzo. Together they translate the Art Nouveau idiom into a complete 78-card tarot deck. This special edition features full-bleed images and is published by Lo Scarabeo.
What you see on the cards
The cards measure 70 x 120 mm and carry full-bleed illustrations: the image runs to the edge without a white border or decorative frame. The style follows Mucha's organic lines, feminine figures and the warm palette associated with the early twentieth century.
The imagery is firmly anchored in the classical tarot structure. Anyone familiar with the standard 78 cards will recognise the major and minor arcana within this visual language.
The guidebook
The included guidebook is multilingual: English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. This is the standard format for Lo Scarabeo decks. The text covers card meanings and the symbolism embedded in the illustrations.
There is no extended study guide. The guidebook is compact, which is typical for Lo Scarabeo editions of this kind.
If you are already comfortable with traditional tarot meanings, you can work with this deck straight away. The imagery is familiar enough to read intuitively, even without consulting the guidebook.
