The Ancestral Magick Divination Kit contains 44 cards divided into two sets of 22. One set features archetypal ancestors, the other focuses on actions. The idea is to draw one card from each stack during a reading, so that every session points both to a presence and to a concrete next step.

What the cards look like

All cards have rounded corners and a kraft paper-coloured background. Stacey Williams-Ng works in a collage style that layers vintage black-and-white photography with graphic and photographic elements. The 'Achiever' card shows a seated woman with a large orange flower in the upper right corner. 'Totem' features a black-and-white line drawing of a bear. 'Faery' is a photographic image of mushrooms in a dark setting with small points of light. Card names appear on a label at the top or bottom of each card. The back of every card is dark purple and bordeaux with a geometric circle pattern. The imagery across the deck represents a wide range of cultures, genders, and time periods.

The box has a deep red background. The top shows a torn paper effect in beige and kraft tones, a framed black-and-white photograph of a woman, and a pink rose as a photographic element.

The cards work with universal archetypes, so you can use them without any knowledge of your own family tree. Nancy Hendrickson describes a way of working in which you draw one card from the ancestor stack and one from the action stack - for daily reflection, meditation, or ancestral rituals.
