Ancestral Magick Divination Kit - two separate sets in one box
Most oracle cards tell you something. This kit asks you to make two movements at once. Nancy Hendrickson and Stacey Williams-Ng designed a system of two stacks of 22 cards: one with ancestral archetypes, one with magical actions.
You do not draw one card for a message. You draw two: who speaks to you, and what you do with it. That structure makes the deck more direct than much ancestral work you may know.
What you see on the cards
Stacey Williams-Ng works with collages. Historical images, textures, faces from different eras and cultures form a single image. The style is not flat, not digitally polished. It has a layered depth you can see.
The archetype set shows figures without fixed ethnic or temporal frameworks. A protector can come from any century, from any bloodline. A dreamer, a healer, a messenger, they are not presented as historical reproductions but as timeless forms.
The action set depicts ritual symbols and magical practices. No instructions, but visual prompts.
How you work with it
The accompanying book describes the meaning of each card and contains exercises to develop your intuition. The spreads are built around the combination of two cards: ancestor plus action.
Hendrickson writes from years of practice with ancestral work. Her texts are clear and offer concrete handles. She does not assume a specific spiritual tradition, but a willingness to pause at what came before you.
Draw one card from the ancestral stack and one from the action stack. Let the combination sit for a day before you do anything with it. Sometimes the meaning only becomes clear when you do not force it.
Who this deck is designed for
This deck works with universal archetypes, not with specific family histories. You do not need to know your family tree to work with it. Hendrickson calls it 'ancestors of the spirit': the collective human wisdom that everyone is part of.
The structure does require you to actively engage with the cards. This is not a passive oracle. The action cards expect a response.

Questions we often get
What makes the structure with two separate sets different from a regular oracle deck?
You always draw two cards: one that shows an ancestral figure, one that indicates an action. This forces you to connect the message with action. It does not stop at receiving, you have to do something with it.
Can I use this deck if I know little about my own family history?
Yes. The deck works with universal archetypes, not with specific genealogical lines. Hendrickson calls it 'ancestors of the spirit', the collective human wisdom that is not bound to blood kinship.
