Tarot of Aphrodite - Renaissance aesthetics with rose gold detail
Renaissance art has something most modern illustration does not: a timelessness that keeps working on you, even after the tenth look. This deck builds on that and uses classical imagery to examine questions about love, self-worth and relationships.
Created by Natacha Fromm, a Venezuelan-German artist and graphic designer. From her Afro-Latin background she chooses a more inclusive representation of spiritual archetypes, combining classical painting with contemporary symbolism.
What you see on the cards
The imagery draws heavily on Renaissance masters. Soft colours dominate: ivory, peach, pale pink, with the occasional deeper blue or green. The rose gold edges give each card a luxurious quality without becoming too much.
Some cards have been renamed to fit the theme better. The Empress becomes Aphrodite. The Fool is called The Birth here. The traditional tarot structure stays recognisable, but the interpretation is entirely her own.
The paper is 350 gsm white core art stock with a matte coating. The cards are sturdy, shuffle smoothly and hold their shape under heavy use. Size is standard: 70 x 120 mm.
Who this deck works for
The guidebook includes affirmations for each card alongside the card descriptions. That makes this deck suitable for anyone wanting to build rituals of self-care and self-reflection around card drawing.
The symbolism is clear enough for beginners, but the artistic choices give experienced readers plenty to work with. This is not an abstract art deck where you have to supply all the meaning yourself.
Draw one card each morning and read the accompanying affirmation aloud. Leave it somewhere you can see it for the rest of the day.

Questions we often get
Are all the cards renamed or just a few?
Only a small number of cards have been given a different name. Most of the major arcana and all the minor arcana remain recognisable to anyone familiar with traditional tarot.
Are the affirmations in the guidebook general or linked to specific cards?
Each card has its own affirmation that aligns with the meaning and symbolism of that card. They are written to be spoken aloud or copied into a journal.
