The Rain Shadow Tarot – Discover the Mystique of the Unknown
About this Deck
The Rain Shadow Tarot, masterfully created by artist Claire Mack, invites you into a world where shadow and light dance in perfect harmony. This 78-card deck is more than just a divination tool; it is a tactile and visual experience. Each card is a labor of love, crafted through a unique combination of hand-carved collage and acrylic painting.
Printed on high-quality 350gsm card stock with a luxurious matte lamination, the cards offer a soft, smooth touch that enhances every shuffle. The intuitive composition of the artwork is designed to evoke the raw essence of each archetype, creating a bridge between the physical world and the deeper realms of the spirit.
Symbolism and Themes
Rooted in the timeless Rider-Waite-Smith tradition, The Rain Shadow Tarot bridges the gap between familiar archetypes and modern psychological exploration. Claire Mack uses new visual symbolism to breathe fresh life into traditional meanings, making the mysteries of the universe feel both personal and profound.
The imagery explores the "rain shadow"—the hidden side of the mountain—metaphorically representing the parts of ourselves that remain in the shade, waiting for discovery. The deck features figurative images and symbolic creatures that guide the reader through an exploration of the psyche, offering clarity and insight into one’s personal path.
The Creators
Claire Mack
Claire Mack is an artist whose work transcends the ordinary, aiming to provide healing and connection through art. She depicts figurative images and symbolic creatures that represent her inner experiences and life process, often working intuitively to allow the images to take shape. Her divination decks reflect her deep connection to nature and her spirit, utilizing original hand-carved collages to create a signature aesthetic.
Practical Use
The Rain Shadow Tarot is celebrated for its vibrancy and expressive power, making it an ideal companion for intuitive readings. Because the artwork resonates so strongly with the senses, it allows readers to tap into their feelings rather than just memorized meanings. The included guidebook provides a distinctive perspective on each card with selected keywords that are easy for the beginner to grasp, yet deeply meaningful for the experienced reader.
To deepen your connection with the Rain Shadow Tarot, focus on the textures and "vibe" of the collage elements during your daily draw. Ask yourself: "What part of my internal landscape is being illuminated today?"
