Product information
Weavers' Oracle (Slovakian Edition) - thirty years of work in 52 archetypes
This is a Slovakian edition of an oracle that does not whisper about itself. The imagery is raw, direct, and centres on archetypal feminine figures that do not necessarily take you by the hand.
Carolyn Hillyer worked on it for thirty years. You see that in the images: not polished illustrations, but drawings that look as if they have been pulled from the earth. Each archetype carries a story that does not close neatly.
What you see on the cards
The 52 cards show figures who are keeper, weaver, wild woman or wise one. No soft pastels, no reassuring faces. The lines are strong, the compositions sometimes uncomfortable.
The cards are printed on heavy art cardstock with a silky finish. The format is 148 x 105 mm, large enough to see the details. The luxury storage box contains a fabric pouch that holds the cards.
The guidebook is 140 pages and written in Slovak. The cards themselves are in English. This makes the edition suitable for those who read Slovak, or for those who let the images speak for themselves.
How this deck works
This is not a deck that gives you instructions. The archetypes ask questions, not answers. You draw a card and see what the figure calls up. That can be clear, that can be confronting.
Many users turn to this oracle during rituals, at full or new moon, or when they want to make space for something that does not immediately fit into words. The imagery works intuitively, even without understanding all the text.
Draw one card and leave it for a day without looking anything up. Only in the evening check what has stayed with you.

The cards are in English. The guidebook is written in Slovak. This is specifically an edition for Slovak readers, or for those who use the cards without the guidebook.
Does this oracle differ from a standard tarot deck?
Yes. This oracle does not follow a fixed structure like tarot. It works with freely chosen archetypes that focus on feminine wisdom and old stories. There are no court cards, no pentacles, no swords.
