This is not tarot and not an oracle. It is an affirmation set in a small box. Forty cards with short, encouraging texts and illustrations of trees, leaves and atmospheric forest scenes.
The deck is made by Australian illustrator Jessica Le and published by Rockpool Publishing. The format is 88 x 62 mm, small enough to fit in a pocket or handbag. The box is magnetic and sturdy.
The illustrations have a dreamy, nostalgic style with fine linework. The colours are soft and the themes revolve around nature, quiet and inner strength. Each card contains a short text in English, usually no more than a few words or one sentence.
The imagery recalls old storybooks. No bright colours or strong contrasts, but a restrained palette that radiates calm.
The cards are meant for drawing one card daily as an intention or short reminder. No spreads, no deeper layers. Draw a card, read the text, and continue with your day.
Because of the small format you can easily place a card on your desk or slip it into your diary. It is a light tool, not a system you need to learn.
Place the drawn card next to your coffee or on your keyboard. That way you see the text a few times a day without having to actively do anything with it.
Jessica Le is an Australian artist with a background in visual communication. Her work is characterised by a soft, nostalgic style and attention to detail. She creates illustrations for various publications, from cards to postcards and prints.
Are the English texts difficult to understand?
No. The texts are short and simple. Often they consist of just a few words or one sentence, written in accessible English.
Can you do readings with this like with tarot?
No. This is not a tarot system and not an oracle with meanings. These are affirmations meant as daily reminders, not as a reading tool.
