World Animal Dreaming Oracle Cards - animal symbolism from all continents
Not every oracle deck limits itself to one region or tradition. This deck looks wider: from Australian marsupials to North American bison, from African felines to European ravens. Scott Alexander King gathered 45 animals, each touching a different aspect of life.
The cards have a matte finish, rounded corners and clear illustrations. Each animal is placed centrally on the card, without much embellishment. The animal's name appears at the bottom. The guidebook does the rest.
What you see on the cards
The illustrations are photographic, not painted. Each animal is sharply depicted against a simple or natural background. That makes the focus immediate: you look the animal in the eye, not at a landscape around it.
The choice for photorealism has an effect. It feels less symbolic than many other animal decks, more like you are standing face to face with a living being. That fits King's approach: animals as guides, not as abstract concepts.
How you work with it
The 124-page guidebook gives a description for each animal of what it represents. King writes from his background in Aboriginal spirituality and combines that with broader symbolism. The texts are written accessibly and do not go too deep into esotericism.
You can pull a daily card, do a spread, or simply choose a card that speaks to you and read the text. The deck does not impose anything on you. The animals are there, the meanings are listed, the rest is up to you.
Place the card you draw somewhere you will see it all day. Look at the animal from time to time and notice whether you recognize something in your own behaviour or feeling.
About Scott Alexander King
Scott Alexander King has been writing about animal symbolism and totem energy for years. He grew up in Australia and became fascinated by the way Aboriginal cultures look at animals: not as something beneath humans, but as carriers of wisdom.
His work focuses on making that vision accessible to a wider audience. No complicated rituals, just attention to what animals can teach about yourself.

Questions we often get
Are the cards suitable if you have never worked with oracle cards before?
Yes. The images are clear, the guidebook is easy to follow, and nowhere is it assumed that you already have knowledge of symbolism or spreads.
How does this deck differ from other animal decks?
This deck combines animals from all continents instead of focusing on one tradition. The illustrations are photographic, not painted, which gives a more direct, less symbolic appearance.
