Product information

Alice The Wonderland Oracle Cards Pocket Edition - Wonderland characters with an unexpectedly sharp edge

At first glance this looks like a playful oracle built around beloved Wonderland figures. And it is. But spend some time with it and something else comes through: an odd, sometimes unsettling quality that sits right underneath the whimsy. On Reddit, this deck gets mentioned in shadow work threads and dream interpretation discussions just as often as in lighter reading conversations. That is worth knowing before you buy.

The cards were painted by Jasmine Becket-Griffith, a traditional acrylic painter based in La Jolla, California, who has worked professionally since 1997. Her style blends realism with fantasy: figures with large, liquid eyes set against richly detailed backgrounds. The card texts were written by Lucy Cavendish, an author and witch whose work appears in multiple languages and who hosts the podcast The Witchcast.

What you see on the cards

The 45 cards feature the best-known characters from Wonderland: the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and others from Lewis Carroll's story. Becket-Griffith's colour palette is warm and detailed. The images are not naive or childlike. They carry an atmosphere that is at once familiar and faintly unsettling, much like Wonderland itself.

The 52-page full-colour guidebook is written by Cavendish in a direct, personal voice. Readers on Reddit note that her approach takes some getting used to, but that once it clicks, the deck develops its own clear rhythm.

About the pocket format

The original edition of this oracle is on the larger side. This Pocket Edition measures 80 x 113 mm, fits in a jacket pocket or small bag, and is easier to handle for anyone who finds larger cards awkward. Collectors of Becket-Griffith's work specifically seek this format out.

The cards are housed in a hardcover box measuring 80 x 113 x 26 mm. Compact and self-contained.

Try pulling a card for the question 'What am I avoiding right now?' The Wonderland characters have a way of pointing directly at what you would rather not see.
