Product information
Celtic Lenormand - 45 cards rooted in Celtic seasonal symbolism
Most Lenormand decks contain 36 cards. This one contains 45. The nine extra cards are not filler: they add trees, animals and figures drawn from the Celtic wheel of the year, giving you more specific options when naming what is happening in a reading.
The deck won the COVR Award for Best Divination Product. It was created by Chloë McCracken, a card reader with a background in shamanism and Celtic spirituality, and illustrated by Will Worthington, known for the Wildwood Tarot and the DruidCraft Tarot. The same hand-painted, grounded approach runs through this deck.
What you see on the cards
Forests, rocks, streams, deer, ravens, oaks. The style is realistic with a warm, hand-painted quality. Seasons, moon phases and the Celtic wheel of the year all appear in the symbolism. Three bird cards reference the triple goddess.
The colours are muted: greens, browns and greys dominate, with occasional warm orange and gold. Cards measure approximately 70 x 100 mm on sturdy matte card stock. Compact enough to shuffle easily, clear enough to spread out in a large layout.
How you work with it
The guidebook is built around a practical approach to the deck's structure. Start with the classic 36 cards to learn how Lenormand works. Add the extra nine once the foundation is in place. The guidebook walks you through both stages.
Beyond card meanings and spreads, the 188-page guidebook includes suggestions for rituals tied to the time of year. The tone is straightforward and the examples are concrete.
Use the classic 36 for everyday questions. Bring in the full 45 for readings around the solstices, equinoxes or when you want more detail in an answer.
Who this deck works for
The extra cards assume some familiarity with how Lenormand is structured. Without that foundation, a 45-card spread can quickly become hard to read. A traditional 36-card deck is a more natural starting point for complete beginners.
The seasonal symbolism makes this deck a good fit if you work with the wheel of the year or follow natural cycles in your practice. Anyone familiar with Will Worthington's work on the Wildwood Tarot will recognise the visual language immediately.

Questions we often get
What do the 9 extra cards actually add to a standard Lenormand deck?
They bring in more natural elements: additional trees, animals and figures tied to Celtic seasonal cycles. This gives more precision in readings, particularly around seasonal themes or questions with a spiritual dimension. You can keep them separate and add them gradually.
What language are the cards and guidebook in?
Both the cards and the 188-page guidebook are entirely in English.
