Dark Mirror Oracle - 32 cards for psychological shadow work
Not every oracle wants to reassure you. This deck is built to confront you with what you suppress, deny or prefer not to acknowledge. The images are dark, the emotions they evoke too.
Dark Mirror Oracle is created by writer Riccardo Minetti and illustrated by Laura Sava, known for her graphic work on Final Fantasy and Legend of the Cryptics. Her style for this deck is dystopian, raw and cinematic. The colour palette is muted, the faces intense, the scenes often oppressive.
What you see on the cards
The 32 cards do not depict archetypes in the traditional sense. They portray emotional states instead: fear, repression, anger, shame, longing. Each card carries gold foil accents that sharpen the image without softening it.
The illustrations speak directly to the subconscious. No symbols to decipher, but images that provoke a physical reaction. That makes the deck direct and sometimes difficult to work with.
How this deck works
This is not a deck for pulling a morning card for inspiration. It is intended for moments when you feel stuck, keep repeating patterns, or notice something inside you is off but you cannot name what.
The 128-page guidebook describes each card and offers guidance for interpretation. The texts are clear and psychologically grounded. It also includes several spreads focused on self-insight, not prediction.
Pull a card and write down what feeling the image evokes before you look up the meaning. The discomfort a card causes is often exactly what you need to examine.

Questions we often get
Does this oracle follow the structure of tarot?
No. There are no Major or Minor Arcana, no fixed positions or traditional meanings. Each card stands on its own and represents an emotional or psychological state.
Are the images suitable for those sensitive to dark themes?
The illustrations are intense and confronting. They do not depict violence, but they do show emotional pain, isolation and fear. Review the sample cards before purchasing.
