Earth Mothers Oracle - 45 goddesses with their animal companions
Oracle decks with animals are common. Decks with goddesses too. This deck combines both. Each card shows a goddess together with an animal that belongs to her, a symbolic bond between human and nature.
Lynda Bell draws in a style that stands out immediately: soft colours, rounded shapes, plenty of detail in faces and fur. The goddesses are not classical mythological figures but characters Bell has created herself. The animals range from wolf to hummingbird, from bear to snake.
What you see on the cards
The imagery is warm and accessible. Each card carries a title such as 'Compassion', 'Courage' or 'Creativity'. The goddess is central, often in an embrace with the animal, or else side by side.
The colours are saturated but not harsh. Lots of green, blue, earth and rust tones. Bell does not use sharp lines but lets everything blend softly. That makes the cards calmer than many other oracle decks with a similar theme.
The guidebook runs to 120 pages in colour. Each card receives a description that does not just explain symbols but also poses reflective questions. The tone is personal, not dry lists.
Who this deck works for
This deck is designed for those drawn to animal symbolism and the gentler side of the divine feminine. It is not a deck that challenges or asks sharp questions. It offers comfort and reminders instead.
The cards are large enough to see details, sturdy enough to use often. The hardcover box protects them well. The format makes the deck suitable for daily card draws or as a focus point during meditation.
Draw a card and place it in front of you over a cup of tea. The images ask you to pause, not to interpret quickly.
