El Oráculo Maya - Maya symbolism translated into daily practice
The Maya civilisation left behind a complex symbolic system that goes beyond calendars and temples. This oracle makes that symbolism usable for personal questions and spiritual growth.
Ariel Spilsbury and Michael Bryner have compiled 44 cards that work with archetypes, natural forces and sacred geometry from Maya tradition. The accompanying 336-page guidebook describes each card and offers meditations and practical exercises to bring a card's energy into your daily life.
What you see on the cards
The images are colourful and symbolically dense. Not realistic scenes, but archetypes that embody universal forces: natural cycles, cosmic connections, inner transformation.
The symbolism is based on Maya philosophy, but the treatment is contemporary. Spilsbury and Bryner translate ancient themes into questions that matter now: how do you deal with change, how do you recognise patterns, how do you align your awareness with larger rhythms.
How you work with it
The guidebook is not a quick reference. It reads like a course book. Each card receives ample attention, with descriptions that invite you to spend longer with a symbol.
Many users draw one card per day and read the corresponding text as a morning meditation. The exercises in the book help you not only to understand a card, but also to feel it.
Draw a card in the morning and keep the symbol with you all day. Look back in the evening: where did you recognise the energy of that card in your interactions or thoughts?
