This is not a weighty system. The cards deal with daily things: setting intentions, clearing your home, finding confidence in yourself. The tone is upbeat and welcoming.

What you see on the cards

Alba works with watercolour and gouache. The colours are soft, often pink, purple and gold. Many cards show witches in everyday situations: making tea, casting a circle, taking a moment for themselves. Black cats appear regularly, as do candles, herbs and books.

The imagery is direct. You see immediately what the card is about. That makes the deck quick to use and easy to grasp, even if you have little experience.

How the guidebook works

The accompanying 112-page book gives a description for each card, a short meditation and sometimes a small ritual. Blake writes clearly and without detours. The texts are practical and require little prior knowledge.

There are no spreads included, but that does not make the deck less versatile. Pull a card for the day, use them as journal prompts or pick a few for a quick overview.

Look at a detail in the drawing that catches your eye. Often that is where your personal message sits.
