I Am The Artist Tarot & book - 80 cards with emphasis on creative power
Most tarot decks have 78 cards. This one adds five, each focused on creativity and personal development. Monicka Clio Sakki builds on the Rider-Waite-Smith system but expands it with archetypes that have no place in the classical structure.
The cards combine astrological symbols, Kabbalistic paths and imagery that mixes surrealism, Art Deco and collage. The result is busy, colourful and noticeably different from the muted tones of many RWS-based decks.
What you see on the cards
Each card is a visual overload. Patterns, colours and symbols dominate. The style is layered: photography, illustration, graphic elements and text fragments form a collage that feels both retro and contemporary.
The five extra cards carry names like 'The Artist', 'The Untitled One' and 'The Creative Forces'. They function as extensions of existing archetypes, specifically aimed at the creative process. If you regularly do spreads about projects or artistic choices, you get new material here.
The cards are printed on 320 gsm paper with a black core. This means they do not show through, feel sturdy in the hand and flex during shuffling without cracking. The format is standard: 70 x 120 mm.
How this deck relates to RWS
The foundation is Rider-Waite-Smith. The structure holds, the sequence is familiar. But the imagery deviates strongly. Where RWS is often literal, Sakki chooses abstraction, symbolism and association.
This makes the deck less suitable as a first deck. You benefit from some experience with the standard meanings, because the cards do not always directly show what they represent. The guidebook helps, but do not expect step-by-step explanations as in a beginner deck.
When in doubt, pull 'The Artist' as a signal card for creative projects. The card functions as a supplement to existing spreads and adds an extra layer to questions about self-expression.
About Monicka Clio Sakki
Monicka Clio Sakki works as an artist, author and publisher. Her earlier deck, the Sakki-Sakki Tarot, has sold internationally. Her style is explosive, colourful and outspoken. She combines tarot with art and sees both as tools for self-development.

Questions we often get
How do you use the five extra cards in a spread?
You can add them to your deck and shuffle them in, or keep them separate and only use them for questions about creativity, projects or artistic choices. The guidebook offers suggestions but leaves the application open.
Is this deck suitable for beginners?
The structure follows Rider-Waite-Smith, but the imagery is abstract and layered. Those with some tarot experience recognise the patterns faster. If this is your first deck, expect a learning curve.
