Inuk Cards – A Multi-Layered Journey into Self-Discovery

The Inuk card set is a unique and poetic invitation to explore the internal landscape of the soul. Unlike traditional tarot or oracle decks, Inuk offers a psychological and associative experience that bridges the gap between art and self-reflection. This set is designed to provoke imagination, stimulate dialogue, and provide deep psychological insight through a safe, playful medium. With its distinct visual language and interactive mechanics, it serves as a mirror to our deepest feelings and life questions.

About this Deck

Inuk is more than just a deck; it is a creative tool for the psyche. The set consists of 98 cards in total: 88 round picture cards and 10 specialized cut-out cards shaped like windows, keyholes, and magnifying glasses. The visual style is atmospheric and metaphorical, featuring scenes that resonate with the human experience—moments of choice, identity, and perception. The "vibe" of Inuk is one of curiosity and gentle exploration, encouraging users to look beyond the surface and discover the hidden layers of their own personality.

Symbolism and Themes

At its heart, Inuk asks the fundamental question: "Who am I, and what makes me who I am?" The imagery is heavily influenced by analytical psychology, utilizing archetypal scenes that connect with universal themes of freedom, restriction, and growth. The system is entirely associative, meaning there are no "fixed" meanings. Instead, the symbolism comes to life through the user's personal connection to the image. The inclusion of the 10 cut-out cards adds a literal and figurative layer of perspective, allowing you to "zoom in" on specific details or view a situation through a restricted lens, symbolizing how our focus shapes our reality.

Practical Use

Inuk cards are incredibly versatile, finding a home in professional therapy sessions, life coaching, and creative workshops. They are equally powerful for individual use as a daily reflection tool. By selecting an image and then layering a "window" card over it, you can change your perspective on a problem or highlight an emotion that was previously hidden. The playful nature of the deck makes it an excellent icebreaker for those who find it difficult to express their feelings through words alone.

To deepen your practice, try drawing one round card and three different window cards. Observe how the same image changes meaning as you view it through the keyhole, the magnifying glass, and the window.
