Les Voyageurs du Bonheur - French card game for emotional development in children
Most card games for children are about collecting numbers or matching pictures. This deck is about something else: helping children name their feelings, notice their body and trust themselves.
Les Voyageurs du Bonheur was developed by Julien Peron, together with educators, illustrators and wellbeing experts. The result is a set of 56 cards you can use as a conversation starter, a quiet moment or a group game based on the seven families principle.
What you see on the cards
The illustrations are colourful and warm, without forced cheerfulness. Each image connects to the daily world of children: school, home, playing outside, friendship. The texts are short and positive, written in simple French.
The cards are divided into different themes: recognising emotions, breathing exercises, building confidence and body awareness. Each theme forms a 'family', so you can also use the deck as a classic card game.
How you work with it
At home you can draw one card each morning or evening and let the child talk about what they see or feel. The 144-page guidebook contains a short exercise or question for each card that you can use straight away.
In the classroom or during guidance sessions you work with several children at once. The seven families setup keeps it accessible. Children play, and meanwhile they talk about what they feel or what they find difficult.
Draw a card together in the morning before the school day begins. Use the accompanying exercise as a short two-minute quiet moment. That is enough.
Who this works for
This deck is designed for children between 6 and 12 years old. The texts are simple enough for young readers, the themes stay relevant through the end of primary school.
Parents, teachers and therapists all use the deck, each in their own way. Sometimes as a game, sometimes as a tool during conversation. The cards are intuitive enough to work with without preparation.

Questions we often get
Are the cards sturdy enough for classroom use?
Yes. The cards are printed on thick card stock and have a matte coating that protects against fingerprints and intensive use. They are made to pass through multiple children's hands.
Do I need to read the whole guidebook before I can start?
No. The cards work without the guidebook too. The text on each card is enough for a short session. The guidebook offers extra exercises and background for those who want more depth.
