Serene Conneeley is an Australian writer, witch, and healer with a fascination for history, travel, ritual, and the myth and magic of ancient places and cultures. She has written for magazines across news, travel, health, spirituality, entertainment, and social and environmental issues, and has contributed to books on witchcraft, history, psychic development, and personal transformation. In her voice you can sense a love for places that hold stories, alongside the understanding that real peace can also be found at home.
The artwork is by Cecilia G.F., a self-taught illustrator with a degree in art history. She uses symbology and art theory to layer meaning into her images, drawing inspiration from music, books, video games, and mythology. She has collaborated with multiple publishers, and one of her best-known cover images won the Ignotus Award in 2018.
