Little Cosma Visions - panoramic cards about the cycle of the soul
Not every oracle offers space to lay cards side by side and watch a continuous landscape emerge. Little Cosma Visions does. It is a compact deck, but the panoramic structure asks for a different way of reading.
James R. Eads drew 78 cards around the theme of reincarnation and transformation. The images flow into each other. Lay three cards from the same suit next to each other and you see how the horizon, sky or water continues. That creates room to see connections that remain hidden in single cards.
What you see on the cards
The colour palette is expressive. Lots of blue, purple and orange, with strong transitions between light and dark. The style recalls Van Gogh, but applied to metaphysical themes. The labradorite blue edges give the deck a quiet, composed look.
Each card shows a fragment of a larger story. Sometimes you see figures, sometimes landscapes, sometimes only light or water. The cards follow the structure of Major and Minor Arcana, but the focus lies on the cyclical process of the soul, not on fixed tarot symbolism.
How this deck lends itself to use
The format is small: 51 × 89 mm. That makes it easy to carry with you, but also less suitable if you prefer large cards to handle. The pamphlet contains keywords, not full descriptions. That means you rely mainly on the images.
The panoramic setup is strong when you draw multiple cards at once. You then see not only separate meanings, but also a visual story. That works well for questions about timelines, processes or transitions.
Lay three cards from the same suit side by side and watch how the landscapes flow into each other. That often offers a broader perspective on a specific question.
About James R. Eads

Questions we often get
How does this oracle differ from a traditional tarot deck?
It follows the structure of 78 cards, but the focus is on reincarnation and cyclical processes. The panoramic images are strongest when you lay multiple cards side by side. The symbolism departs from the classic Rider-Waite system.
Is the format a problem if you are used to large cards?
That depends on your preference. The cards are smaller than standard tarot cards, which is practical for travel but less comfortable if you prefer to see large images.
