L'Oracle de Gaïa - connection to the earth through colour and affirmation
Not all oracle cards start from symbolism or archetypes. Some start from colour, light and a simple message. L'Oracle de Gaïa by Toni Carmine Salerno does the latter.

What you see on the cards
Salerno paints in layers of transparent colour. Lots of blue, green and gold. Lots of light that seems to come from within. The figures are often abstract, more feeling than form.
The affirmations are printed in French at the bottom of each card. Short sentences that are direct and leave little room for doubt. 'Je suis en paix' or 'La terre me soutient'. They are meant to be spoken aloud.
The format is large: 125 x 170 mm. This makes the cards suitable for laying down and leaving for a while. They ask for space.
How this deck works
The 120-page guidebook offers a more extensive text for each card. Those texts are about emotional blockages, about trust in life, about the cycle of giving and receiving. They connect to the affirmation on the card.

Yes, but you will miss the affirmations on the cards themselves. You can translate the guidebook or leave it aside and work only with the images. That is possible, but it is not what the deck was designed for.
