Resist: An Empath’s Oracle
This oracle is built around a particular kind of sensitivity: the kind that picks up everything and sometimes gets overwhelmed by it. Angi Sullins wrote the texts as poetic incantations, Sarah Jarrett made the collage art, weaving human figures into natural landscapes. The theme is not battle. It is alignment with your own values.

Resist: An Empath's Oracle - collage oracle for the sensitive soul
The name sounds combative, but the deck is not. Resistance here does not mean fighting back out of anger or fear. It means a deliberate choice for what you value: kindness, boundaries, recovery. That distinction is the heart of this oracle.
Resist: An Empath's Oracle is the work of two American creators. Angi Sullins wrote the texts, Sarah Jarrett made the images. The deck is published by Rockpool in October 2026 and includes 46 silver gilt-edged cards, a 128-page full-colour guidebook and an organza drawstring pouch.
What you see on the cards
Sarah Jarrett works as a collage artist using both digital and analogue methods. Her images show human forms merging with nature: a figure dissolving into a field of flowers, hands flowing into tree branches. The atmosphere is warm and dreamlike, not dark.
The card themes are named directly: Self-Soothe, Boundaries, Emotional Safety. These are not abstract archetypes but recognisable situations for anyone who picks up a great deal from their surroundings.
What the guidebook contains
The 128 pages are entirely in full colour and written by Sullins. She combines poetic texts with card interpretations, validating messages and self-care guidance. The focus is on what sensitive people can do with their empathy, not on suppressing it.
The guidebook also includes incantations: short formulations Sullins uses to anchor the meaning of each card. Anyone used to plain keyword lists will notice straight away that this reads differently.
How this deck works
The deck is designed for frequent daily use. The card themes are direct enough to connect with a specific situation, and the imagery is open enough to simply sit with, even without a question in mind. Sullins addresses herself explicitly to people who are sensitive to atmosphere, energy and mood around them.
Pull one card at the start of a day when you know you will be around a lot of people. Read the text, look at the image, carry that one thought with you. This is not built for elaborate spreads. It is a short recalibration.
