Sisterhood of the Seers Oracle - 11 archetypes painted in watercolour
Not every oracle works with fixed figures. This one does. The Sisterhood of the Seers Oracle is built around 11 so-called Seers, archetypes that each embody a particular quality. Each Seer is given four cards: one for insight, one for the heart, and two for action.
The cards are painted by Ana Santos in soft watercolour tones. The hand-painted style gives each Seer a recognisable face and a distinct atmosphere. Athena Laz, psychologist and author, designed the system from her work with dreams and depth psychology.
How the system works
The deck contains 44 cards, divided into three types: insight cards point to what you need to see, heart cards to what you need to feel, and action cards to what you can do. That division gives structure to a reading.
The Seers themselves act as guides. Think of the Healer, the Mystic, the Oracle. Each archetype has its own theme and its own place in the larger whole. The guidebook describes the symbolism for each card, but also what Laz calls the 'seer-wound': the place where intuition has been blocked or forgotten.
Each card contains a short invocation, a kind of poetic phrase that sums up the energy of the card. You can speak it aloud or use it as an anchor during meditation.
What is in the guidebook
The guidebook runs to 128 pages and contains more than just card descriptions. It includes rituals for full moon and new moon, suggestions for daily practice, and energetic exercises that Laz calls 'activations'.
Those activations are meant to help the message of a card land in your body, not just in your head. Some readers use them, others do not. They are an option, not a requirement.
When in doubt, pull one card from each category: insight, heart, action. That gives you a complete path from recognition to action.
Who this deck is designed for
This oracle is intended for those already familiar with oracle cards or tarot and looking for a system with structure. The division into three categories makes it suitable for therapeutic work, but also for daily reflection.
The tone of the texts is personal and poetic. That suits some people, not everyone. Read a few sample texts before you buy if you want to know whether the register fits you.

Questions we often get
What is the difference between the three types of cards?
Insight cards point to what you need to understand, heart cards to what you need to feel, and action cards to what you can do. The guidebook explains for each card how to combine them in a reading.
Do I need to use the rituals and activations to work with this deck?
No. The cards work without the rituals too. The activations are an option for those who want to go deeper, not a requirement.
