Tarot of Marseille - Mini version - the classic system in pocket size
The Marseille tarot is one of the oldest and most influential tarot systems. This mini edition reduces that tradition to a format of 44 x 80 mm, without compromising the imagery. All 78 cards are included, from the Major Arcana to the complete Minor Arcana in Marseille style.
This is not a simplified version. It is a scaled-down reproduction of the classic design, with the same primary colours, the same iconography and the same structure as the full-size deck.
What you see on the cards
The imagery is stylised and clear. Yellow, red and blue dominate. The figures are shown frontally, the compositions symmetrical.
The Major Arcana follow the traditional Marseille numbering and titles. The Minor Arcana show no scenes, but geometric patterns of wands, cups, swords and pentacles. That makes interpretation different from a Rider-Waite-Smith deck: you read more from number and colour than from narrative scenes.
Despite the small format, the print is sharp. The lines remain clear, the colours vivid. You do not need to squint to see details.
What this format works for
This deck literally fits in a breast pocket. That makes it usable in places where a standard deck is too large: on a train, at a café terrace, in a backpack while travelling.
The cards shuffle smoothly and lie stable. For large spreads with many cards, you need less table space. That is practical when you have little room or want to do a reading on the go.
Draw a card in the morning and slip the deck in your pocket. That way you have access to your reading for the rest of the day, without needing a bag.
Who this deck is designed for
This is not a beginner deck for someone who has never seen tarot before. The Minor Arcana contain no scenes, so you need to learn or already know the meanings. That asks more of your memory and understanding of the numerology behind the cards.
Those already experienced with the Marseille tradition will find a compact working version here. The format invites you to have it at hand more often, without needing to consciously make room for it.

Questions we often get
Is this a complete Marseille tarot or a simplified version?
This is a complete reproduction of the classic Marseille system, only the format has been adapted. All 78 cards are present, with the same imagery and structure as a standard Marseille deck.
Can you still use the cards if you have large hands?
Yes. The format is compact, but the cards lie stable and are easy to handle. Shuffling goes smoothly, and the cards remain readable during spreads.
