Wisdom from the Epics of Hind - Indian epics translated into reflection questions
Not every oracle deck deals in yes or no. This one deals in stories that have travelled for millennia, and in the question of what they still say today. Wisdom from the Epics of Hind draws from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, two epics built around dharma, karma and the choices people make.
The deck contains 50 cards: 25 feminine archetypes and 25 masculine. That balance is not accidental. In Indian philosophy, Shakti stands for feminine energy, Shiva/Purusha for masculine. Together they form a whole.
What you see on the cards
Illustrator Rahul Das works with rich colour palettes. Gods, goddesses, heroes and sages appear in a recognisable Indian aesthetic: traditional in structure, accessible in execution. The images are detailed without becoming crowded.
Each card belongs to a story from the epics. Those stories are not only told in the guidebook, they are also linked to reflection questions. No fixed meanings, but concrete starting points for what is happening now.
How it works in practice
The guidebook runs to 172 pages. For each card you get the story, the context and a question to work with. That makes the deck suitable for daily draws, but also for therapeutic or coaching settings where introspection is central.
Prior knowledge of Indian mythology is not required. The guidebook provides enough background to work with straight away. Those who already know the stories will recognise extra layers in the symbolism.
Draw one card in the morning and read the accompanying reflection question. Write down how the story touches something you are experiencing today. It does not need to be long.

Questions we often get
Do I need to know the Ramayana or Mahabharata to use this deck?
No. The guidebook tells the story and context for each card. The deck also works as an introduction to the mythology.
Why exactly 25 feminine and 25 masculine cards?
That comes from Indian philosophy: Shakti and Shiva/Purusha form balance together. By distributing both energies equally, you get access to the full spectrum with every draw.
