Tara Cochrane built every card by hand as a physical collage – layers of paper, texture, and detail visible in the print. The deck is structured around the seasons: almost every card is tied to a specific time of year, which changes how you read it.
The first edition is limited to 1,000 copies.
Stasia Burrington painted all 80 cards by hand in watercolor over two years. Built on the Rider-Waite-Smith structure, the imagery centers on bodies, presence, and the immediate moment rather than distant symbolism. A pink-blue holographic foil on the card edges shifts with the light and sits naturally alongside the soft palette.

Dame Darcy drew and painted all 78 cards by hand, in a neo-Victorian style filled with sea creatures, shipwrecks, and nautical folklore. The pastel colours and faded vintage tones recall hand-drawn posters from the 1960s, while the imagery follows the classic Rider-Waite structure throughout. The card edges are finished with a high-gloss gold foil – reflective, not matte.
The plain white box gives almost nothing away about what is inside.
My Friend Fire is an oracle deck by Mariza Ryce Aparicio-Tovar (Mari in the Sky), the creator behind The Gentle Tarot. The guidebook works through every card on three levels, your own situation, your community, and broader social and environmental themes. M.M. Meleen’s illustrations keep the familiar Waite-Smith compositions intact while filling them with contemporary symbolism around time and change.

The Isness Tarot (Black Edition) by Amadea H. Ris uses an ink-blot technique to create images that have no fixed figures or classic tarot scenes. Reduced to black, white and gold foil accents, this edition is sharper in contrast than the original colour version and more demanding in how it asks to be read.
The absence of colour pushes interpretation entirely into your own hands, which is exactly what this deck is designed to do.
Amadea H. Ris developed this deck over ten years using klecksography, a technique where forms emerge organically and are then read and interpreted rather than deliberately drawn. The result is 83 cards where symbolic meaning is opened up, not pinned down. The 336-page guidebook, which expands on the archetypal and intuitive layers of each card, is sold separately and is not included with this deck.

Jake Baddeley is an internationally recognised painter whose work draws heavily on the techniques of the Old Masters. He painted all 78 cards by hand, building on Hermeticism, Neoplatonism and the Eleusinian Mysteries. The 368-page guidebook works out the historical and philosophical background of each card in full.
This is not a beginner deck: the imagery is layered and the guidebook reads more like a scholarly text on Western esoteric philosophy than a quick reference.
Kristine Gorman painted all 78 cards in oil and wrote the guidebook herself. For over eight years she read tarot live on her own FM radio show, and that grounded, no-nonsense approach runs through every card. Linnea Gits wrote an original sonnet for every card in the LUX tarot deck. This is not a guidebook with keywords or spreads, but a poetic interpretation of the Tarot de Marseille in verse. Black-and-white plates of the original linocut artworks appear alongside each hand-typed poem.

Sublime Thresholds Tarot is an 88-card deck built from Baroque, Romantic, Gothic and Symbolist paintings, selected from over 4,000 works in the public domain. Each card carries a Greek term and a ‘Sublime Code’ that extend the arcana meaning into philosophical and poetic territory. The deck also includes lines of verse from writers such as Keats, Blake, Rilke and Mary Shelley.
